Dortmund have rejected Barcelona’s opening offer for Ousmane Dembélé and have announced the Frenchman is refusing to answer his calls after missing training.
Manager Peter Bosz announced to the press that the Frenchman missed a training session without permission on Thursday, and is even refusing to pick up his calls.
A statement from the German club confirmed Barcelona's €100m offer which they say has been rejected.
The club announced in the statement that Dembele would not be sold unless the Catalans increase their offer for the player.
The Guardian report that the 20-year-old went to Paris on Thursday evening to visit friends and family where he is awaiting the clubs to agree a fee for his transfer.
Bosz said Dembele missed training and even refused to pick his calls: “He wasn’t there this morning and if I am completely honest I have to say I have no idea why he wasn’t.
“We have tried to reach him but we have not managed to. I hope nothing bad has happened to him. He wasn’t there."
Ernesto Valverde's side are looking for replacements for the departed Neymar and the ageing Andres Iniesta.
Dortmund also confirmed that Dembele has been suspended from training in another statement relased later today.
